So, if I want to run IP SLA test operations on remote Cisco routers, and I might be interested in higher frequencies for tests, is there a configuration element I am missing in either Cisco or VNQM that would allow me to save test results on the Cisco's and then collect the IP SLA information on a standard SNMP poll run that NPM is doing every five minutes anyway? I would prefer that the data be collected during the normal SNMP poll sequence, instead of generating a new individual polling event every 30 seconds for each group of IP SLA operations I might want to run every 60 seconds.
Am I misunderstanding Cisco IP SLA configuration commands, which seem to give plenty of flexible history options, or am I misunderstanding my polling options in VNQM and NPM?
Thank you for any insight anyone might be able to provide.
